LAURENZ CAPODIMONTE LZ-53, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS "SOUP SCENE". LIMITED EDITION, SIGNED DISNEY FIGURINE, #938, by master sculptor Enzo Arzenton. Brand New, Mint Condition, with Brass Plaque Signed by Enzo Arzenton himself, indicating limitation number.

Crafted in the Genuine Capo Di Monte porcelain tradition in Italy, and is of porcelain bisque and hand decorated, and is part of the Laurentz Collection. 11-1/2"H x 18-3/4W x 13-1/2"D. NOTE: ALSO INCLUDED IS FOREST LAMPS AND GIFTS' 1994 "LAST CHANCE" FULL COLOR FLYER, OFFERING THE LAST REMAINING 90 PIECES OF THIS SCULPTURE. This is the very first piece in the Laurenz Collection, created in 1983 by Enzo Arzenton, and offered in the USA by their U. Distributor, FOREST LAMPS AND GIFTS, from whom we, as one of their authorized dealers, ordered nearly all our Capodimonte pieces.

This edition was originally planned for 2,500 pieces, but only about 1,000 were actually produced when the molds were broken and the edition closed forever in December 1992. Enzo Arzenton, a native of Vincenza, Italy, was an award-winning sculptor, recipient of the LEONE D'ORO and APOLLO A'ORO (Golden "Oscars"), recognized throughout the world.

He attended the Institute of Art in Vincenza, Italy, and in 1976 received a membership in the prestigious Tiberina Academy of Rome. A very innovative artist, he changed the various existing techniques to produce porcelain figurines previously considered technically impossible-- and he did all the sculpting, moulding, casting, firing and hand glazing himself. Strong composition, an excellent eye for minute details, his detailed hand painting, and a gift for capturing the mood and feeling of each Capodimonte sculpture characterize his work-- and his Disney pieces are considered to be his very best.
