Collectors Club limited edition no. Unused and in mint condition. This sweet Lorna Bailey hand painted ballerina limited edition figurine measures approximately 16cm (6.5) high. To her base under the glaze Lorna's signature and the worldwide limited edition number 5 of 100 is in blue (instead of the customary black) denoting a Collectors Club issue. She is in perfect, as new bright and clean condition with no chips, cracks or damage and has been carefully stored in bubble wrap over the years and has never been on display. As with all Lorna Bailey ceramics, this figurine was never issued with a box. From a private collection in a non-smoking home and will be very well wrapped and boxed for the journey. Lorna Bailey's artistic career began when she joined her father's business, LJB Ceramics in Stoke-on-Trent, as a painter.

At the same time Lorna began designing a series of cottage, tree and abstract patterns based on the pottery of Clarice Cliff. In 1995 at the age of seventeen her House and Path and Sunburst patterns were put into full production. A collectors club was formed in September 1998 and in 2003 LJB Ceramics changed its name to Lorna Bailey Artware. In January 2008 Lorna retired from the pottery industry to concentrate on her family life.
